Can I use my laptop screen only to...............

    hey i have a pc and a laptop. reciently my monitor for my pc has broken and i was wondering if there is anyway i can use the screen on my laptop to act as the screen for my pc as a short term solution.

    I think i know the answer to this but im just checking.

    Certainly you could do the opposite, but I don't think you can do what you want.

    i know a program exists to use ones laptop as a second monitor for a pc, i forgot the name, but you might be able to find it.

    i have wondered the same thing before but what i wanted to do was to mount a laptop screen somewhere near the computer to post visualizations and other stats about the computer, like cpu temp, cpu load, framerate, etc. it be kind of like the LCD screens that people have been putting in there 5.5" bays but instead it would have better resolution. sorry to kind of hijack this thread but it reminded me of that idea i had.
