Can I use Outlook to access Hotmail as a POP3 server?

I'm trying to configure hotmail as a pop3 server in outlook. I have Hotmail Plus (the $20 a year package) so I think this should work.

I can't find the server names for incoming and outgoing mail for hotmail (should be something like pop.hotmail.com or mail.hotmail.com or pop3hot.com or something, but no combination of guesses has worked). Does anyone know what server names to use? I just need this to configure Outlook 2007 to check hotmail with pop3 protocol.

My next idea was to forward my hotmail (my main account) to gmail and just access that with pop3, but I can't find a way to forward my hotmail account or to make my gmail account check my hotmail account, although hotmail easily allows me to retrieve mail from another pop3 server, and gmail easily allows me to forward my mail to another server, but that's the opposit of what I want to do.

my last straw would be to manually change every part of my virtual life to rely on my gmail account instead of my hotmail account, but that is very tedious and annoying. Any help? Thanks.

Probably easiest to contact the hotmail support if your paying for it.

Thanks. : ) I'm waiting on hotmail support's response. I don't hold much hope for getting any information from them, though.

Thanks, again. Unfortunately, I, uh, had some, er, problems with the validation process...

Sorry, we cannot really help you much if your copy of windows turns out not be legit :(

Oh, my windows is legitimate, and my Outlook _was_ legitimate until I tried installing a "new" version of 2007 over my 2003 in order to try to fix this problem... Should I go back to my previous version and try again?

    I'd say so ;)
