I got a new MB with PATA and SATA 150, can I use Both at the same time? Has anyone tried this? My MB manual doesn't have any info on this.

I'm gonna stick my neck out and say YES by virtue of design criteria. "Simultaneously" may be a slight misnomer. The SATA is just another controller/drive/bus setup. Older mobos have twin IDE controllers (normally one for HDDs and one for optical drives) and a floppy drive controller. These drives coexisted to make a system functional.
It doesn't make sense to put both types of data transfer designs on a motherboard if they won't work together. The competition among mobo manufactures is too tight to throw extra hardware in just to give customers an "either/or" option.
Caveat: I could be all wrong. My opinion stated above is based on my understanding of economics and the marketplace - NOT computer science.

There is no problems with using both. It's done quite commonly. Just don't try to use RAID and join a PATA drive with a SATA drive. It can be done, but it's not a good idea. Using them both as separate HD's is kinda expected right now since we're slowly transitioning from PATA to SATA.
