I never installed a filter, I assumed with XP, one was built in. I think my wife has been not receiving certain emails and I was going to check the Spam file/folder and I can't find one. Is there one? And is it possible to see what has been held, through some data files? I'm using OE 6 with XP Home

Outlook Express has no inbuilt capability to identify spam, so unless you have created your own filters, which you say you haven't, all messages that have not been filtered out by your ISP will go to your Inbox. You should check your mail at your ISP using webmail. If any messages have been filtered to a spam/junk folder by your ISP that' s where you will find them.

How do I do this? Or will I be able to figure it out? Thanks

Visit your ISP's website and look for the link to mail. Sign in with your email address and password.
