can malware pass through the network?

    hey guys,

    i have a few computers networked and one of them is infected with serious malware......

    can the malware pass through the network to other PCs?

    YES!

    This is one of the key reasons to have software firewalls installed on client machines. It will seriously mitigate the risk of malware propagating across the network.

    Remember that network drives and shared folders are a great way for viruses and spyware to spread; its like a resource on the local machine.
