Can my thermaltake 450watt handle this?

    I am getting a new dual core Video card and i don't know if my power supply can handle it and the other hardware......

    right now i am running.......
    the computer is a Compaq SR5123WM
    Thermaltake 450WATT its afew years old but has never let me down)
    SATA Hard Drive
    SATA DVD-RW
    4gigs ddr2
    AMD Dual Core processor
    ECS MCP61PM-HM (Nettle2)

    and the video card i am getting is this
    ati radeon HD 3870 X2

    That power supply should work. Maybe somebody here could say if your 450 watt power supply would work or maybe recommend something else. Just be sure the power supply will fit in your case. The 12v rail alone puts out 528 watts (Watts = Amps x Volts) so I think that should be adequate for your needs.

    So, you ordered the Raidmax? That power supply has the advantage of 2 +12V rails instead of the Thermaltake which had a single rail.

    Yep i ordered the Raidmax rather than the brand i been using but i know Raidmax is pretty good on the things they make,
