can not re-install VM workstation

I am having a small problem that i am unable to resolve, so it's time to ask the experts.

I was having a major clean up and inadvertently deleted some files from my VM workstation, now normally this would not be a problem as i have my disk (fully paid)

When i try to re-install it i get the message that i must un-install the old version, now normally this is done by the installation disk but it keeps throwing up errors saying it can not delete the original,

So i searched the files and tried to delete all files manually but no matter how i try it leaves 3 files that i can not destroy and these 3 files will not allow the disk to re-install the program.

Are there any programs (free or paid ) that will force a deletion of these files??
