can not turn on/off windows 7 firewall

    Hi , i noticed that i can not turn on / off or even change my winodws 7 firewall , when i press use recommended settings i get an error as shown in the screenshots , i cant even start the service.

    my windows is 7 , 64 bit and running nod32 as my antivirus

    anyway to fix this other than reinstalling windows ?

    Have you tried it in safe mode or even try a system restore to before you thought this started happening !

    yes i can access it via the control panel icon , but as u can see , i dont have any options to restore it to defaults , or turn it on /off

    no , not using smart security , just the antivirus

    it does not change in safe mode as well , and yes i tried system restore , it came to my mind , but with no success.
