can not uninstall firefox

    I want to uninstall firefox 1.0 pr to get the newer version. But when I got to add remove programs it will not let me uninstall... I get the error message Uninstall log folder not found. Can I install the newer version on top of the older one? If not how to I get rid of the older version?

    Just delete the folder. It is C:\Program Files\Mozilla\Firefox

    I also concur. Any personal settings should be below your Documents and Settings folder, and will be preserved nonetheless. Whenever I upgrade Mozilla, I merely delete the Mozilla subfolder under the Program Files\mozilla.org folder, and then install the newer version. Should be similar for Firefox.

    The Firefox home page says it's not coming out untill the 9th.

    And shouldn't the program allow you to just upgrade it rather than have to delete the pr version?

    No, you should disable all extensions and themes, uninstall and reinstall. The upgrade was overall. I did a over install and had 1/2 an upgrade.
