can not unistall adobe flash player

    I am having problems with my Adobe Flash Player 9. It keeps sending error messages and freezing up my entire system. I can not unistall it through add/ remove and I can not unistall it with the Adobe Flash Unistaller. It freezes everything up either way. I am at a loss at what to do. Please help.

    Thank you for your response, however i did follow the instructions on that page prior to posting. That is where I got the download for the unistaller, which will not install because it gets to about 80% and then freezes the computer. So I can not install the unistaller and I can not unistall the program. There has to be a way around this. Any other suggestions?

    Just what I needed today, theefool. I installed flash 10 but Secunia was still telling me 9 was on. Of course, it doesn't appear in add/remove - that would make it too easy to get rid of the insecure version.

    eliluca06, be sure no browsers are open and nothing like skype or messenger is running. In other words, shut down a lot of background programs because adobe might be running.

    If that doesn't work, try it from safe mode.

    Plodr...Thank you! I was finally able to get it working in Safe mode. I have had a hectic week and just got to it now. So thank you for the advice.
