    Two systems :
Desktop computer is WinXP hardwired to printer HP model #4215 .
Remote wifi laptop computer is running Win98 SE.

Both computers can ping each other .

Laptop can see Desktop PC and the HP printer All in One Printer with a cable drawn underneath the icon .

Win XP desktop has printer set to share with hand underneath it.
Another laptop running win xp does wifi print to the hp 4215.

A chat with HP tech informed me that it was impossible for laptop running win 98se to wifi network print share to the hp4215 printer that is usb connected to the win xp desktop.
    This does not sound believable.

Can someone assist ? Does this sound plausible?

The HP tech said that win 98se will not print share with win xp if hp 4215 hp printer is used .
I am supposed to get a transcript of the web chat which I would be happy to post here.
