Can only have one IE window open at a time

hello,

This is my first post here but I hope that you can help me!

Basically I can only have one window of Internet Explorer 6 open at a time. Everytime i try to open a new window or click the IE icon to open another window it closes the previous one... it is VERY annoying...

I am using Windows XP Home Edition, I have turned off all of my pop up blockers if that even makes a difference....

Please help me! I can give you any more details if you need them

Hi. Welcome to Major Geeks.

1. Select the Tools menu in Internet Explorer.
2. Pick Internet Options.
3. Pick the Advanced tab.
4. Scroll down to the Browsing section.
5. Uncheck the "Reuse Windows for Launching Shortcuts" box.

See if that does it.

But all was well this morning when I started it up, the problem had mysteriously disappeared but thankyou anyway!
