Can some one please help me?

I have vista. Everything was working well until one day when I went to send links to people from my browser. On file in the browser you can go to send then send llink by page or email and neither one of them is highlighted. I know it has something to do with my mail client (I have Windows Mail which came with the computer), but I cannot figure out how to get the links to work again. What happened to them? Can anyone tell me how to get them working again? Thanks.
