can someone give me some help with CCleaner 1.09.057?

I am running win 95 OSR2, pent 2, 233 mhz, 64 ram

under the widows tab some selections are not checked:

autocomplete form history

delete index.dat files

advanced cache delete

menu order cache

window siz/location cache

user assist history

IIS log files

should these be checked before I run cleaner or should I leave them unchecked and run the cleaner

ALSO
on the issues scan should I have the cleaner fix all the issues (there's alot of them) or can this screw something up?
for instance AT one point I TRIED NETSCAPE 6 but I didn't like how aol screwed it up. so I went back to NETSCAPE 4.6. if I fix issues that are listed for netscape 6 will that cause a browser or OS conflict?

 

Agreed. Netscape 4.x is not going to be able to correctly render a fair portion of the modern web. CSS-based sites especially, but also some JavaScript and (IMX) some PHP and ASP generated sites (usually those that hook into databases). I'm also not sure how well Netscape 4.x handles encryption, cookies, and other security factors, so you might want to avoid online shopping with Netscape 4.x.

Although I'd argue you should use Mozilla 1.7 since that's the most current stable build (although it's still currently in final development... that's what RC2 means). It's still likely a better choice than Moz 1.6, which was a feature refinement build.

 

Thanks Mastertech, I'M new at all this spyware and tweeking stuff, but better late than never. I use internet explorer also I just like the features on netscape 4.6 and guess I have become too comfortable with it.

I have recently been having a problem with defrag. it gets stuck at between 55 and 80% . Any ideas on why it wont complete a defrag 100%?

I know, I am going to get a new system, this one cost me 2 grand back in 98, so I'm trying to get my money's worth and think I have. Selling my house now and when I get this move over and done with it'll be new system time. (hope this one holds up a little longer). Thanks again

i know my neighbor has ME AND HE DOSEN'T LIKE IT EITHER. I'M going with the latest tech when the time comes.

I ran crap cleaner and fixed about 60 of the 100 issues I had under issues scan (mostly junk left behind from supposedly uninstalled programs) and wango de jango defragmentation of drive c 100% complete.
