Can someone help find my missing calculator?

This is the 2nd time it has disappeared. The first time I reinstalled WINXP Professional and used the repair option. This time it disappeared when I was installing Adobe Acrobat Reader 7.0. I have run adaware, spybot, nortons, sting, about buster, hijack this, hs remove and cc cleaner in safe and normal mode. I found one line for a helper in HiJack this which I removed but that is all.
I need a new option because I don't have my XP CD right now and I have moved across the country for the summer and it got put in storage accidentally. I really used my calculator a lot and I am hoping that someone knows an alternative way to reinstall it. I read an old thread and tried checking, unchecking in Win Add/Remove but reached a point where I needed the CD. Do you think that calculator is just hidden somewhere in the computer?

Don't know about XP, but my calculator program is in the main Windows (ME) directory & it's called CALC.EXE. All you need is to locate this program & copy a shortcut to your desktop or start menu. It would be very unlucky if by installing something else you have removed this file from your PC completely.

 

you can do this start > run > CALC.EXE

Do the following to get the Calculator on the Start Menu:
1. Search for calc.exe. (It would be in C:\Windows\System32 folder)
2. Right click the CALC icon in the search results.
3. Click on Pin to Start Menu.

Now you'll have the Calc on the top of the Start Menu.
