Can someone help me with a CPU Speed question?

I am trying to play the PC game "Black & White." It says the CPU speed requirement is 333 MHz. I have a pentuim 4 processor and the diagnostic of my computer says its working properly, but when I try to run the game it tells me my CPU speed is -1895. When I try to load the game, it blips on for a second and then disappears. Can you help me??

what are ur specs? have u got the newest drivers and gameupdates?

 

According to the diagnostics from EA's system information thing, I have Windows 2000, It doesn't seem to recognize my processor (I have a Pentium 4 CPU 2.40GHz 256 MB of RAM).

I have downloaded all the patches (And for some reason have no sound on the load-up now) and I got the Omega Radeon driver and have it installed.

The problem is CPU Speed. It says it needs 333MHz to run, but says I'm varying somewhere between -1895 and -1928.

Some games run at low speed PC do not work at fast PC and OS, they can run at win98 but can not run at WinXP .

Chose game Icon at destop->property-> Compatibility-> Set OS for run .

 

Still no help, but thanks for tryin'. Any other suggestions?

 

actually i have a friend who played it on a very up to date pc (p4 3,2 6800gt) so that shouldnt be a problem. have u tried reinstalling the game?
