To be quite honest, I cannot be any more specific. Its pretty straightforward.

    Just do steps 1-4.

Follow this, and follow it exactly.

Go to start, run, type cmd.exe

    Click OK

    at the cmd prompt, type:

    cd \

    press enter

    at the C:\ prompt

    type:

    cd windows

    press enter

    type:

    cd system32

    press enter

    type

    expand e:\i386\autoexec.nt_ autoexec.nt

    Hit enter

    Overwrite if prompted.

That will work, provided E:\ is where the XP CD is.

Do that for the rest of the files too.

  22. Hitman *B2Z*

    Hitman *B2Z* Private E-2

    Download this file:

    http://www.visualtour.com/downloads/xp_fix.exe

This installation program will re-install the missing or corrupt Windows XP system files command.com, autoexec.nt and config.nt. The absence or corruption of one or more of these files causes a "16 Bit Subsystem" error.

    Cheers....
