Can someone please help with printer problems

Ive just installed Vista and have got all working except printer!!! Its a Canon smartbase mpc 200. Ive been to website and cant seem to get any help for updated drivers and they have not replied to emails? Can anyone help?

hi, i have the same printer, and i have it working.

i found this:
Canon give this answer: 'The MPC190 and MPC200 software, in its original form, is incompatible with Windows XP Service Pack 2'.

You can now apply a patch from Canon to fix the problem. This patch will alter the file MPNETIPC.INI, changing the address 127.0.0.2 in this file to 127.0.0.1

Alternatively, you can 'fix' SP2 with this hotfix available from Microsoft.

(Probably a better solution because this will correct similar issues found with software other than the Canon MP drivers as well)
