Can someone please tell me if these two items are the same?

My friend wants to upgrade her memory along with me and we'll learn together.

I used buggabear's link to Crucial to find the right memory card for her computer, but she has a Circuit City gift card and therefore wants to buy it there.

Are these two memory cards the same thing, with regard to them working on her Vaio?

Also, to buggabear or anyone else reading this, can you post a link to instructions (preferably with picture(s)) on how to install the memory for a Sony Vaio VGN-B100?

 

These are not the same. The one at crucial is DDR PC2700 333mhz. The one at Circuit City is DDR2 at 533mhz. They are definitely NOT interchangeable.

Installing memory on that vaio is not as easy your travel mate. It looks as if it requires you to take the keyboard off as well. I can send you the a link to download the manual and I would read it carefully before you decide to tackle this challenge.
