Can this be done?

My cable modem box has a USB connection and an Ethernet connection.
Can I have a computer running on both at the same time?
Am getting a matching set of PCs and would like both folding at the same time over one cable.
Will I need to get any other devices to work this or is this all that I need.

No , Buy a switch or a router or go with a poor man's network , crossover cable construction for the poor man's network.
