At school Weds we are going to try to partition the hard drive 3 times then on each partition put a OS on it. 1 will be win 2000 with fat 32, the 2nd will be xp with NTFS, the 3rd will be microsoft server 2003 with NTFS. Can this really be done? Is there anything special I should know about how to do this? Thanks BanC

I know that if you go to install from sratch it will ask you if you want to partition the hard drive. But I do not know how to partition it tree times. Or how to install a OS on each partition. And make sure that one is fat 32 and the other 2 are NTFS. I know when I installed XP at home it ask me if I want NTFS or Fat 32. BUt I would just like to get a step ahead for the next class. Ok first of all, what kinda hard drive do you have and how big is it.....If you just bough the bitch it should of came with a CD.....

boot the CD and continue from there it is a very simple process really....now if is one of those drive that you bough used from a friend or what eve and you don't have a CD that came with it...try to make a 98 boot disk...if you don't have one you could go to my website and download it to make one

These will be school computers that we will be installing them on, then afterwards deleting them out again. The hard drives are pretty big they are usaully dual booted already, but have been erased just for us (I believe they have been erased). I do have a boot disc already that was one of the first things we did. We will be doing this on Weds so I just thought I would ask some experts first and see if I could get some pointers on it to have a head start. Thanks BanC

    try this http://www.blackviper.com/Articles/OS/fdisk/fdisk1.htm

it's a tutorial on how to use fdisk the particion utility that come in the boot disk...so follow the instructions...make sure that you read it at least 2 times...look at the pictures that he posted on the side so you can get familiar with the utility program....

good luck, now if you have any questions ask me and i'll help....
