Can you change a linux notebook to vista?

Hello all,
Can anyone tell me if it is easy to change a linux notebook to windows vista?
I know a tech gug who offers free vista changes for my notebook as he has a copy he can use for free because I cannot use dreamweaver on my new linux pc. I am worried in case it messes up my notebook which came with linux.
Any help or advice?

Well, first of all, what are your system specs? Usually Linux notes are underpowered for Windows to run. You could try using Wine to run Dreamweaver in *nix but I have my doubts as that's a very resource hungry application. I hope that you didn't just buy Dreamweaver for your laptop and it's from an old Windows install instead, that thing is pricey!:eek

Another and main consideration is, are there Windows drivers for your hardware? Besides, unless your buddy bought a whole bunch of licenses and is a very generous and good friend, I doubt the Vista would be legit. Good luck.

I will look into wine and probably wont change my notebook. It isn't a new version he offers.
I would just give him a drink for doing it.
But I am too worried that the notebook wont work without it's original settings.
I like Linux as it doesn't need virus protection at all and it is very stable.
I am used to it now but I just wish Adobe made programs for it.
I will look at wine and see what I can do with it,
