we can focus and strengthen light and other electromagnetic energy with dishes, could it be possible to do the same with wifi? hypothetically i would see no problem in this but i am no wifi expert, anyone have anything to support or criticize this thought?

It can be done, but it restricts the useability in most applications. Ultimately you end up enhancing the high quality spots, while generating more dead.

This boils down to antenna design/config mostly i believe.

Probably be best just to use a signal booster.

A bit of search (I use Duck Duck Go of late) will show you can build one with a Pringles Can. ;)

I don't believe you can focus wifi. Spectrum is spread out and once you beam the signal it's pretty much all around you
