Can you help with this..........

I have a window open up when i turn my pc on.It comes up just after my desktop/icons have come on the screen.

*this is the window that comes up.

C:\WINDOWS\System32\telnet.exe

*this is what is written in the black window.

Can someone let me know what this window is and how i can stop it opening when i turn pc on.Much appreciated.

Windows have several location where one can specify what should start at bootup.

Startup.Cpl might help you in finding out how Telnet is being loaded. And let you disable it.

This is likely spyware doing this.

Make sure you have the latest virus definitions downloaded for your Anti-virus program, also get Ad-aware and Spybot 1.3. Reboot into safe mode and run all three.

Also, installed the Startup Control Panel as Snakefoot said is also a great idea.
