Its on a CD. The Ubisoft fourm was not much help. If i read the Specs right it should run.

Try installing the DirectX 9.0C redistributable, download and install it (it's an extract-only, open the folder it extracted to and run the DXSETUP.exe).

    MaxTurner and Eldon like this.

    satrow's link is for DirectX June 2010. It's a little known update for DirectX 9.0c, 10, 10.1 & 11.
I have it installed in Windows XP & 7.

I did as you suggested. Now when i try to install it today it come up with a Menu with Modify, Repair or Remove Options.

If i try say remove i get this - Error 1605: This action is only valid for products that are currently installed.

Very odd as it installed before and i can't see any trace of the game in Directories.

    Thanks

He goes on to say how he got it to play:

"to play put compatibility mode to windows xp sp3 with admin rights, and start to default settings, in game you can improve the graphic and the resolution to all but illumination max setting set is MEDIUM if you put to hight or very hight you get black screen issues."

I managed to get it to install by going into the registry and deleting its keys. I have done the above but it will not start up. No black screen it just looks like its going to run but does not come up.

I have looked in the Configure option in the Start Menu but i cant see a option for illumination max.

Also should i try patching it as i did before? If so what is the patch order?

    Thanks :)

Sorry, don't have your combo of FC1 and W10 to test with, all we can do is look for likely reasons, based on the given info.

The illumination settings referred to are probably the brightness/gamma settings, seems like defaults are best during troubleshooting.

I have posted the question on Ubisoft Fourms. I will wait and see what they say.

    Thanks All
