It's simply amazing how a couple a hours & 2 cans of air can do for your over temps huh? Sittin' idle at CPU-37c Case 29c. So I dropped like 4c idle & something like 8-10c under load. Guess I need to do that more often.

Very true sueman, keeping ontop of the dust and fluff inside your PC is a neglected job and one that really needs doing now and again as prevention is better than the cure of having to buy new hardware when something fails because of excess heat as the layer of dust is mm thick!

I've seen a few corkers over the years.. one I was shocked that the HSF still moved albiet slowly ;)

I tend to give mine a clean every 2 months... air filter, fans, HSF, case interior, mobo etc

Yea I have filters of some sort at every possible inlet. Most are home made thingys, but I keep them cleaned out. It's just been a while since I last actually looked into the case.

you should see what I've seen. Those thin finned lasagna style heat sinks from AMD with the green fan plug up so well that the heat alarms go off. We've been replaceing them for free for our customers, even though that's what AMD shipped. They have this tedency to build up teir own dust plug right under the fan on top of the fins.
