Cannot access facebook website

Hi there

All of a sudden I cannot access the facebook website. I'm travelling at the moment and using my web book and wifi in hostels and internet cafes and had no problem accessing the site up until yesterday. Every other site seems to be working.
All that comes up is 'Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage' and when I use the computer in the hostel or internet cafe it works fine.

I've checked my host files and it's not blocked, i've pinged the website and got a response: Ping request could not find www.facebook.com please check the name and try again.

I then pinged facebook.com and got a response.

Sorry if this is in the wrong place, any help is appreciated.

 

It seems to be an FB issue. I am 'reliably' informed by my nieces, (who spend a lot of time there), that clearing the browser history and cache may help

 

And use cCleaner on a regular, daily or more basis, to keep that stuff cleared from your browser;

I've cleared my browser history and cache. Checked if there was any hosting issues and gone through the steps suggested on this site to clear off any Malware, which includes running cCleaner, and still no use however just been talking to other travellers here and thay say that Facebook is banned on some servers here by government, i'm in vietnam, so maybe thats the problem all along. Makes sence since I've just arrived in Vietnam a day or 2 ago. i've found a way around it though www.lite.facebook.com works
