I have had 2 yahoo email accounts for over 2 years, one for personal use, the other for all else. I have been able to acces them at the same time, signing in to one account, using ATF Cleaner to remove cookies, then signing into the other account. They would both be on the monitor with no problems.
A few days ago, I updated my Microsoft for Vista and all this changed. I can only access one account at a time, even if I use ATF Cleaner multiple times between. I had no idea why this happened, so I happened to scan the computer with SuperAntiSpyware and it came up with a few tracking cookies, even though I had used ATF Cleaner. When I removed the tracking cookies, I could sign in again to both accounts. But the same thing happened the next day, I could only access one account at a time, unless I scanned with SuperAntiSpyware and removed the few tracking cookies that somehow ATF Cleaner did not remove. I also noticed the small COPY icon that had always been at the somewhat right corner of my screen is no longer there.
Is there any way I can UNDO the latest Microsoft update, or do something else to remove all the cookies? Signing out of one yahoo account and re-signing in can be a tad slow as we do not have dsl.

Use two navigators dude: open one in Mozilla, other in Iexplore.

Please excuse if I do not use the correct computer vocabulary.
I use Internet Explorer as my browser, is this what you mean by navigator?. I click on the IE icon at the bottom left of my screen, the Yahoo page comes up. I click on the IE icon again, and another page comes up. I was able to sign in on one page, clear cookies, then sign in on the other page. But not since updating from Microsoft, which just may be a coincidence. My husband tells me he NEVER updates from Microsoft as something was always messed up afterwards, so he always declines the updates.
If I did use a 2nd navigator, would that conflict at all with IE? And I would have to go to the Yahoo page ultimately and sign in again, so would using a 2nd navigator be that different?
Since updating I have also lost the little COPY icon that was at the upper right of the screen, possibly connected with my GOOGLE toolbar. And 2 other icons, which I cannot remember what they were. Again, all this may not be related to updating but is a big coincidence.
And, why is ATF Cleaner not removing all my cookies?

What I am now missing is the COPY icon on my Command Bar.

Definitely not good practice to decline Windows updates as it is what helps keep your computer secure as well as fixing bugs and other glitches. Rarely have I encountered an update that screwed up my system.

What version of Internet Explorer do you use? IE 7 or IE 8? You can find out by opening a browser and clicking on "Help" in your menu bar at the top and then choosing "About".

Dude, just use Internet Explorer, and in Google, try to download Mozilla Firefox, Chrome, Opera, Safari, Or Avant.

Open Internet Explorer > 1 Yahoo Mail
Open Chrome, Mozilla or Opera > 1 Yahoo Mail

No problem if you use 2 different navigators it is a common practice.

If you use the same browser to look at the same provider, the cookie will be over written. As mentioned before, you either have to use two different browsers, or log out of one email and log into the other. I use Firefox with the Yahoo Mail Watcher add-on, even though I have my att.net email set to forward to my gmail account.

I have Internet Explorer 8. I have SUPERAntiSPyware Professional, which I update every day or so, also ATF Cleaner, AdAware, AVG Free9, SpywareGuard, and Spyware Blaster.
I have been wanting to try Mozilla, or Firefox, or Opera for over a year but have never worked up the nerve to do this. I consider myself a computer novice(never download music and very rarely open attachments in emails) so putting in an additional browser was a bit daunting It is so easy to mess up a computer I figured I would just work with what I had.

    How to explain you this.

Just open one yahoo account per browser, you have to open two browsers (mozilla & chrome) or (Internet Explorer & Chrome) instead two instances of the same navigator.

Believe me is the easiest way, open your yahoo account in internet explorer and the each other in chrome or mozilla firefox.

Do not use other software to clean the cookie in the same navigator because you're a novice and dont know how to use it and that's the actual problem.

    Go ez two navigators.

Yes, I am a novice. I do not intend to ever download music or upload pictures to the internet so I like to keep my computer simple and uncomplicated. As I am familiar with internet explorer, I will keep that. Should I go w/Mozilla, Firefox or ?? I have never heard of Chrome. Keep in mind, the less complicated, the better.
Are the terms browser and navigator interchangeable?

Well, if you don't like that solution (is the simplest for me) then you will be complicated to do what you want.

I hope anyone else have a solution for that what you need, and install a program like mozilla (search it in google) download and press next > next > install is not going to change your computer drastically, as i said before is a common practice to do things like that.

Update: I have downloaded Firefox, and am getting comfortable with it. From another Forum I believe I may have found an answer to my original question about why suddenly I could not access both Yahoo accounts, even though two windows were up ."This is a side-effect of a new feature of Yahoo called LCIE (loosely coupled IE) which also introduces so-called "session merging". And at present I am accessing both Yahoo accounts so all is well, and it more-than-likely- had nothing to do with updating Microsoft. Thank you.

    Good, then is solved.

Remember you can also open browsers Internet Explorer and Mozilla at the same time, and open one yahoo account per browser.
