Cannot boot in Safe mode

I have some stubborn Cydoor ads that I need to remove manually in safe mode but every time I boot into safe mode it gets to a black desktop screen and before anything loads or shows up the entire computer restarts!

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Meanwhile, have you tried to eliminate the "items" in command prompt?

I have remembered that it was some malware that I was successful in initially deleting part of.

However I seem unable to remember exaclty which malware it was. I am leaning strongly toward EliteBar (it gave me fits for quite some time because my children kept downloading it before I installed Spyware Blaster). If it is EliteBar, you will need to install and then unistall the program via the program's website.

Anyway, have you run any malware / spyware programs lately? If so, which ones.

I just remembered that the My Search bar was the other one that gave me fits as well. You have to install then uninstall it like mentioned in the last thread.


I found out what my problem was through Norton WinDoctor and thus learned how to repair it.
