Getting boot error "System found unauthorized changes on firmware, operating system or UEFI drivers"

I tried running a repair from my Win7 CD and and it said the version of system recovery options is not compatible with my version of Windows.

I tried booting to a ERD Commander 64 bit ISO but got the same error.

    Any suggestions??
    Thanks!

Is that the exact system you have in your signature?
What is the OS number and version (home, prof, ultimate) and what service pack, and is it 32 or 64bit

The only way I was able to get it to boot was by changing the BIOS secure boot OS to 'other OS' i.e. I think this means secure boot is effectively disabled.

Your system is checking your firmware a lot of people are not sure what causes this issue.I would recommend on scanning your system for virus or malware.

Or it could be caused by some windows update like Windows update KB3133977

I've tried changing the secure boot to other O/S, but that's not getting me any farther, and it still won't allow me to run the repair from the Win7 cd. I don't my drives are accessible for scanning unless I physically remove them and slave them to another pc.

One post I found said I had to boot to the cdrom drive in UEFI mode. I'm not sure how to do that in my bios.

Well when you go into your bios you have to change your boot order to Cd rom as first boot.

I'm not sure what you mean by system, but my O/S is Win7 Pro and my hardware specs are in my sig.

That said, I choose "other operating system" and only enabled the drive with the Windows Boot Manager on it and the system booted. I'm going to run a complete AV scan and see if it finds anything. The strange thing is that everything was running fine. I shut down last night, then booted up this morning to this issue.

Not exactly my bios, but that's basically what I did, and now it's back up and running. I would just like to know what changed that now I have to choose Other O/S in the bios settings.

A simple web search for: System found unauthorized changes on firmware, operating system or UEFI drivers
brings up 100s of results that give the various causes of it.

It could have been a new windows update that was recently installed that caused the issue.Look at your latest windows updates.

There were 13 updates 2 days ago. It's possible it just took a couple of reboots for them to really take affect. I shutdown my pc every night.
