Cannot Browse The Internet

    I have a wired pc as well as a laptop connected to my router/modem. I have another laptop that says it has limited or no connectivity to the network and will not allow me to browse the web. The ip address is displaying as 169.254.xx.xx and is not showing the DNS Suffix. I have tried the release and renew to no avail. Any help to correct would be appreciated...

    The laptop connects to the router how? Wired or Wireless? You say the IP address being displayed is 169.254.xx.xx but for which adapter is that for? LAN adapter or Wireless adapter?

    169.254.xx.xx IP is a generated IP by Windows when it is not capable of retrieving one from a DHCP server.
