I want to set up an FTP server on my home PC. So since my internet connection works perfectly fine, I set up FileZilla Server on the home PC. I could connect over LAN (192.168.2.2) with no problem so I tried from outside the network. I know my Router IP (76.183.xxx.xxx) so I tried to connect using that address, which did not work either. When I tried to ping the Router from a remote location using the 76.x~ address I get no response. Ive opened port 21 for the FTP, I've disabled any firewall that might be blocking it, but still no response. Any ideas?

Forward incoming requests for port 21 to 192.168.2.2

But you cannot ping your WAN IP from outside your network? Sure you have the right one? Try whatsmyip & check.

I think the problem has to be my router. I'm going to reset the router and set it to work with the box from the ISP in bridge mode to see if that fix some issues. (I got a "double NAT detected" error with some other software) Thanks for the suggestion about port forwarding, that slipped my mind I'll be sure to set that up. I'll try tinkering with it tonight, thanks for the input.
