cannot connect to modem

    I just moved into a new apt. got a modem from comcast and had no problem connecting to the internet from my laptop, or on my other pc now I have another pc that wont connect. Its going striaght from the back of the modem to the back of my CPU, and getting limited or no connection. I did nothing different on the thrid PC from my laptop or other pc. Any ideas?

    Ive tried to power down the modem and reset it, i ran ipconfig but it opened and closed. Ive also tried another ethernet port and nothing. Ive also grabbed another laptop and it didnt work.

    Ive got two laptops and two PCs. The modem works on one laptop and one PC.

    i remeber when i first connected the cable into the laptop and pc it had a popup on to setup the connection. anyway to reset this or something

    Go to Start > All Programs > Accessories and open the command prompt. Then use the ipconfig command -- ipconfig /all
