When I try to delete a file on my hard drive I get an error stating the following; "Cannot rename file, It is being used by another person or program. Close all programs that might be using the file and try again" I have tried closing all programs that might be using the file and I also disconnected my internet and tried again, I got the same results... Does anyone have an explanation? or do I have to format? lol

    Just curious

have you tried rebooting your computer. A lot of the times the program will be able to be deleted after a reboot.

it is not a running app. it was a file created from a program(not sure what program) it is called premier.exe. he said it was a crack for one of his games. I have rebooted many times. there are no unkown running processes in my msconfig im pretty tight with these. and it will not delete in the browse window any other ideas?:D

The file may be write protected . Click properties and see if it is a read only ; if so , uncheck it . Then delete it .
