Cannot delete jpg files - they just keep multiplying!

Hi Guys,

Just having a few problems as I clean up my computer.

I'm running windows XP Pro and have a 'My Pictures' Folder and an 'Image' folder. All my valuable photos are in 'My pictures'.

I'm trying to delete a lot of pictures in the 'Image' folder and when I click on them, delete and send them to the recycle bin & empty the bin, I find that these unwanted photos reapear in the Image folder as copies. Some have been copied up to 20 times!!!

However, a lot of the photos that appear in the 'Images' folder are the same as my valuable ones in My Pictures, so I have to be careful not to delete those.

Do you have any anti-virus software? If not, download AVG's free edition from www.grisoft.com and check your computer for virii. Then download Ad-aware 6 from www.lavasoft.de and Spybot S&D from www.safer-networking.org and run them to remove spyware. That should be a good place to start.

However, if you consult Chaslang, you'll realize I've just been through a major virus deleting programme and have installed all suggested and none pick up on this problem.
