Today I got my new PC with R9 270. I cant seem to find my GPU anywhere in BIOS(UEFI) or dxdiag which shows that I have AMD ATOMBIOS as chip type. GPU-Z did display it's info memory, speeds... but no temperature.
I installed all drivers but nothing.
Do I have to enable it in BIOS? How? I am quite confused with the new UEFI BIOS

    Please, help.

Your GPU is on your R9 270 graphics card, not your motherboard. Therefore you would NOT see the card's GPU in your BIOS.

While UEFI is a bit different, for all the basic stuff (like this) it works the same as the old type BIOS.

No temperature in GPU-Z may just mean there is no sensor, or GPU-Z has not been updated for that card.

What does Speccy (from the makers of CCleaner) say you have for graphics?

Oh, and just so you know, if you used that after market Cooler Master cooler, you voided your CPU warranty! :( I hope you already knew that. Note the AMD CPU Warranty is crystal clear about this:

FAQ: Is the warranty for my AMD Processor-in-a-Box (PIB) still valid if I use a different heatsink/fan (HSF) other than the one provided in the PIB?

"No. The limited warranty shall be null and void if the AMD processor which is the subject of the limited warranty is used with any heatsink/fan other than the one provided within the PIB."

Ok then it's fine, because now it displays temp in GPU-Z and dxdiag, Steam says I have R9 2xx Series, before it said motherboard graphics or smth...

Well the CPU works fine so i don't worry about it.

And that's fine. As long as you understand the consequences, all is good.

That said, keep an eye on your "system" temps. Another problem of aftermarket coolers is they often do not provide the "expected" cooling to other devices surrounding the CPU socket.

I am glad everything is properly reported. Thanks the followup.
