cannot download???

Ok i hope im posting this in the right spot, sorry if not.
Allright heres the deal lately im unable to download anything from sites that use auto download pages (dont know the technical term) ie; cnet, download.com, rapidshare, here, etc etc... I can only download if there is a link directly to the file ie; right click & save as. It doesnt seem to be my security settings as i have experimented with turning everything off still no joy, i just keep getting an error page saying you are unable to access this page with the credentials supplied or something like that im totally stumped any help greatly appreciated thanks in advance. P.S great site guys keep up the good work.

Nope thats not the problem. I just read Katieboots thread & what she described sounds the same as my problem tho i have no idea on my virus/spyware status as i cant freakin download anything to check it & my ZA subssciption ran out just b4 this started.
