Perhaps it's because of what you are trying to terminate. alg.exe is a part of the Microsoft Windows operating system. It's a core process for Microsoft Windows Internet Connection sharing and Internet connection firewall. This program is important for the stable and secure running of your computer and should not be terminated.

Are you having this problem on other processes, or just this particular one?

McAfee thinks it's a trojan, but then again, McAfee thinks everything is a trojan. ;)

When someone uses the term "flooded with spyware" I always wonder if they actually get rid of it. Use the tools and steps here, http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=35407 I bet you find more.

Why have you been ending that particular process every time you start the computer?

What firewall do you use? If you have ZoneAlarm try disabling it and try Task Manager.

Yes i did get rid of it all Here is the thread. I only end this process to free up some memory, and its not just alg. My commit charge is 402/4196 and i used to be able to get it down to about 286/4196.
And now im not even allowed to end a system process on MY OWN SYSTEM  so if anyone knows whats wrong please tell me.
I use norton personal firewall and i am not turning it off because last time i did got infected

I'm not sure I'm following this, so a question...
Are you running more than one firewall at the same time?
I have previously had serious problems occur when I tried that.
Port monitoring is very basic, you don't need two of these progs.
