cannot exit safe mode after sys restore

    Hi! Majors,
    I have had a few little problems with my computer, I tried to "activate system restore" on a variety of highlighted dates, but could not. I then went into safe mode and tried there. I restored system back and could not get out of safe mode (in all Four Corners). the safe mode box was unchecked in boot ini and normal start up highlighted. Now computer starts up with a one line message that closes to quick to read. then goes to black screen - choice of boot up I have tried all except "load with prompt". Every time I am back to safe mode.

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

    Sorry but this is not a malware problem. So I moved your thread to the Software Forum.

    You probably used MSconfig to force your system into safe boot mode and now need to remove that setting or you may even have to edit the boot.ini file to remove an entry forcing you into safe boot mode.

    Some one in the Software Forum will be able to help you with this.
