"Cannot find install log file"?

Trying to clean up some old programs off the HD, but this one will not uninstall. I'm not even sure what exactly this program was, but I think that it was a game that my niece got from a cereal box a few years ago.

The uninstall shield starts up, but then I get this message:

I also cannot seem to find the file folder in the path on the message.

Any ideas?

Is it possible that someone had deleted the folder of that program from C:\FamSamp?

or that folder could be hidden, Click Tools > Folder Options > View and check "Show Hidden Files and Folders" > Apply and try again

if it still has same message I'm pretty sure that the folder has been deleted and what you will need to do is to remove it from the Add/Remove menu listings, to do that one good option is as it cleans all sorts of stuff/junk up is download CCleaner once installed and run click Tools and in the Uninstall list find that program "Family Sampler", highlight it and Delete entry.

Then as you are cleaning the PC up, you can use the other tools like the Cleaner for all temp files etc and Issues for Registry cleaning.

My PC was already set to show hidden files. I already had the CCleaner (was recommended, with other downloads, for a prior problem I had posted).

I ran the CCleaner and deleted the entry from the list. The only thing is, it stated that the uninstall entry would be deleted from the registry, but the program would not be uninstalled. Is this a problem?

If you already ran ccleaner, I'd double check that c:\famsamp is removed from your drive.
