Cannot get rid of a Word document

Hi there:

everytime I open up Word, the same document opens up automatically.

When I click on the "New Blank Document" button in the tool bar, the same document opens up.

Any suggestions?

 

I've tried that, but it says "Cannot delete Normal.dot as it is in use".....

 

Try again, this time after installing the freeware "unlocker" it will disassociate the .dot files from whats using it so you can delete it. Do it from safe mode if you can for your best chance of getting rid of it. Unlocker ends up in your right click menu so go to the file and right click on it "unlocker".
