This issue showed up a few weeks ago when using the web site forum at www.terrylove.com/forums/index.php. Anytime you try to reply to a thread or check alerts..it forwards to the adplex malware and then on to different ads. It will not let you reply to any thread anymore on Chrome or IE.

I originally tried to clean up myself..have used every scanner out there. Hope I have not made your job harder. I also currently have adguard installed and working so between it and Malware, it blocks the forwarding now...but you still can't use the forum.

I have Bid Defender loaded as well...changed from Kaspersky to try that too. Can go back to Kaspersky if you recommend...paid for the license.

Just followed all of your steps...have attached the logs you requested. The issue remains.
Appreciate your time and help if possible.

    Thanks,
    Karen Austin

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

Please attach the other two logs that were requested in the Read & Run Me First procedure. That is the logs from AdwCleaner and MGtools.

I had already tried the reset and that did not work either..at least on Chrome. I currently have uninstalled Chrome completely. I am using Internet Explorer and so far it is working with no re-directs. I suspect this is just temporary...but will see. I appreciate your time and help very much. Thanks

You're welcome. Sometimes it is necessary to make sure all browsers are reset to defaults basically at the same time to remove malicious/problem addons. After unintalling Chrome completely it may have help free the problem from IE. Not if you reinstall Chrome without first having deleted all folders related to Chrome that still exist, you could just bring the problem right back again.
