    Hi MajorGeeks! :wave
I was recently prompted by a legitimate website that in order to run a player function, I would have to update Adobe Flash. I tried to update, but that failed. So I uninstalled it entirely and tried a clean install. That has failed due to a permissions issue regarding a particular registry file. I tried running as Administrator, but that resulted in the exact same error message. I must also note that during the past two weeks I have been getting prompted by Adobe Flash to update, but did not do so due to lack of time. I am attaching a screenshot of the error box I am getting. Please assist me with any suggestions you have. Thank you.

I am running Windows 7 Home Edition and using FireFox 3.6.12 as the Default Browser.

If Secunia PSI picks up Flash as being installed, it may be able to update it correctly (and update/offer to update many of your other apps, too).

Try to delete file NPSWF32.dll manually, if necessary using Unlocker, then run the installer again.

Is this a manual download of the Flash Player installer or is this via Adobes Download Manager?
