cannot install Civilization 4 game...

Hi guys,

Hope you can help me out here.
Recently i bought the game Civilization 4. when i go to install the game a message pops up saying "An error has occurred in Set32.tmp and will need to close down". Does anyone know what that is? Evrytime i try to install it the number beside "Set" keeps increasing..for example after set32 it will be set33 and so on. I am running Windows XP. Can anyone please help me.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi and welcome to MajorGeeks.

If the number keeps increasing, then you still have them in your temporary folder and they are building up.

Try emptying it, then installing again. (you should have hidden files and folders showing)

Depending on your setup, it's in Documents and Settings somewhere.

You could also try Disk Cleanup in Windows, or a program like CCleaner, but I would still manually check to make sure they don't exist.

Your computer must also meet the games minimum requirements or you are wasting your time.
