Cannot install MusicMatch Jukebox

    Hi,I'm having trouble installing an old version of MusicMatch JukeBox 7.1 I've done this before on my computer with no problem. The MMJukebox had gotten corupt and would not startup. So I uninstall it,everything all MM files I even deleted it out of the registry then did the install off my CD and it went through the install and at the end I would get a window saying Please wait for Setup to Configure the installation. Well it just hangs there's and it never completes the Configure setup. I even shut down my antivirus,zonealarm and spysweeper and tried it again and still the same,it will not complete configure setup. My system is very clean,anybody know what's up with this I really want my MM Jukebox back. I even downloaded a new old version of MM from OldVersions.com and still the same.

    Hi Marlene,


    Do you have IE7 installed? if you do, many users who dont like the newer versions of MMJB and wanted to go back to either 7.1 or 7.5 have found they cannot, it hangs as you mentioned above, this is as they found out due to the new/updated files added by IE7 have caused the installer to fail, their workaround is to uninstall IE7 and go back to IE6 ( even if you use Firefox or other browser by defauly over IE this does not matter as its core system files that have been changed )

    Sorry I have no other thoughts on how to install this if IE7 is installed, one thought was trying to install via safe mode incase a running file was blocking the installer, but likely this not work either as files from IE7 will still be on the PC.

    Hi,Thanks Halo your right on this one I just updated to IE 7 last week so that has to be the problem. Thank you again for your advice.
