Cannot open email pdf attachments

I received an email with two pdf attachments, but cannot open them.
I tried saving them to My Documents, but in once case I got a message I was not authorized to open them.
I have pdf reader installed.

Check with who sent them to see if they can open the files. What email program are you using? What pdf program are you using when trying to open the files?

So, you are using Thunderbird. Means nothing as to why you can not open the files. Again, you need to talk to whoever sent the files to find out what program they used, and did they password lock them. Also depending if you are not using Adobe PDF reader, yes you could have problems opening a pdf.

Again, start from go and go find out what program the OP used, and then once you know that they can open the files with Adobe or what ever program they use to open up pdfs, then you know where to go from there.

 

For all you know, they never closed the pdf's when they attached it to the email, thus could be why they will not open.

 

Wound up using Go PDF.
The PDFZilla program converted half and then notified me I had to buy the program to finish the conversion.
I emailed the conversion, and that in itself was fun. It wanted me to establish something by going to t he mail icon in the control panel.
I finally just copied the material, attached it to an email and hit send.:celebrate
A royal pain just to read and send a document.
Appreciated all help and suggestions given.
