Cannot open install log file!!!!

    Help :cry
    Using Windows XP Home Edition, have run ADWARE, AVG and SpyWare Blaster with no problems found. Also have Comodo firewall and Spybot running.

    When trying to uninstall programs in add/remove keep getting error "Cannot Open Install Log File"    !

    Also after downloading updates, they get to the point of just finishing install and I get pop up saying     " Cannot Open File" and installation stops!

    I have done everything I know how to do, hope you can.     Any advice from you will be greatly appreciated. :major
