Hello, somewhere along the line something happened that will not allow me to play midi files, when I try I get this msg:

    c:\documents and settings\test\local settings\temporary internet files.IE.5\860h3mp

Would appreciate any advice and help.

Time to run your antivirus / malware programs; you have some type of malware, which you can attribute to Internet Explorer...

On a side note, you can also try to run the .mid file by right clicking on the file and select "open with", then "choose program". Then select the program you wish to use to play the .mid file. Making sure you check the box "Always use the selected programs..."
