Hi I have an HP 15-bs048c1 Touchscreen Notebook Laptop.Windows 10 64 bit and 12 gig memory.
I have had virus popup when running Malwarebytes the last three days and it could not delete it so I was going to go through from your site and run the other tests. The problem is I cannot shut off the Windows Defender because it is blocking the scan. I have tried the following to trying to disable the Defender.

In Run box I have typed gpedit.msc and it says please check the typing because it is incorrect. I checked it three times and it was fine.

So I cannot run any tests until I turn off defender. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks so much

    1. Open Settings. ( Right click Start)
    2. Click on Update & security.
    3. Click on Windows Defender.
    4. Turn off the toggle switch for Real-time protection.

Please rerun Hitman and have it remove all it found. You are infected by a trojan due to the cracked software you downloaded.

After a reboot, please rerun Hitman and attach the new log.

Good ... the log is clean. Let me know what other issues remain, if any.

    I suggest you read this:
    Warning about porn,keygens and cracks

If you are not having any other malware issues:

It is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware.
    2. Re-enable your Disk Emulation software with Defogger if you had disabled it in step 4 of the READ & RUN ME.
    3. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis. If you don't see it or it will not uninstall, don't worry about it. Just move on to the next step.
    4. If running Vista, Win 7 or Win 8 or 10, it is time to make sure you have re-enabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    5. Now go to the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click ( if running Vista, Win7, or Win 8 or 10 Right Click and Run As Administrator ) on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    6. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
    7. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:

Thank so much for your help. I do not watch porn so not sure why that would be showing up on here. Could that happen when clicking links? That is the only thing I can think of. weird.

It wasn't porn that infected you.....it was the keygen crack for Office that infected you.

    And you are welcome.
