Cannot uninstall comodo firewall,Help!

For days now i have been trying to uninstall comodo firewall pro v3.0.22.222.

It started after i installed an update for firefox 3 and got a suspicious malware pop-up warning from comodo so i blocked it and the next time i went online everything went fine until i tried to open firefox and it would not open so i looked in comodo and found no blocks for firefox. Then i also could not update avg a/v which also seemed to be blocked while i was online with ie7,since firefox was not working.

After this i looked for any blocked services in comodo but did not see any that i recognized,so i did a system restore to see if this would help any and then after the restore(windows xp sp2) no change but now figured i would run some spyware scans just to check and i was denied access to the comodo spyware scan so i checked and i was still had admin rights.(instead i ran other scans and came up clean)

So i figured since i could not find out what processes were blocked i would uninstall comodo,clean the registry and see if firefox or other processes would become unblocked after uninstall of comodo. I uninstalled through add/remove programs in safe mode with admin rights and it said it uninstalled but when i went to the security center it said "the security center is currently unavailable because the "security center"service has not started or was stopped.Please close the window,restart the computer(or start the security center service,and then open the security center again.
When i turned the service on again,i went back to the security center and under the firewall portion it showed comodo firewall was still active and now everytime i go to the security center it says the security center service is not running again so i cannot do anything.

I also tried the comodo uninstaller from another thread on this forum with no luck and i tried getting help from the comodo forum and they deny it has anything to do with comodo firewall. So i tried to uninstall comodo with revo installer and an unlocking program to remove any remnants of comodo but it said no files remained of comodo,yet when i restart the security center service it shows comodo still running in security center and then the security center service stops again.

Sorry for the long post but i wanted to try and give as much info as possible. I have had about enough and i am ready to reformat the computer and start over,any other options?

I eventually got rid of Comodo running ( and / or telling me it was running) but still have leftovers in the Registry. :cry

I gave up for awhile and figured i would try again and i`ll be damned if when i turned the computer on the comodo firewall was finally off in the security center. So now i will figure out the firefox problem and decide if i dare use comodo again. I really liked the firewall but had no clue that trying to uninstall it for any problems was such a pain.
I feel kind of foolish for posting now but for three days i could get nowhere with it and now all is smooth.

Mind you I didn't have any problems with uninstalling Comodo's Firewall v2 and installing v3.
